Warwick Keys is an experienced researcher, writer and speaker on esoteric subjects. A long-standing member of the New Zealand Theosophical Society, Warwick is also a past National President.
Morning: Ancient Egypt – Light of the World. “Visiting Egypt was a life changing event for me. The remarkable experience of being in the King’s Chamber in the Great Pyramid without other visitors and exploring vast temple complexes with few people around to distract and unsettle the incredible ambience of those vast ancient places was a special blessing. In this presentation I show and discuss many of the sacred places and discuss their significance both in ancient times and today with an outline of some of the enlightening esoteric teachings involved.” Afternoon: Isis, the Egyptian Mysteries and Christianity Isis – ‘Virgin Mother of The World’ and ‘Queen of Heaven’, fascinates many people. The powerful story of Isis and Osiris –‘I am the Resurrection and the Life’ –provide a strong basis for the fundamental understandings of many religions and for Christianity in particular. Is there a connection between the ancient Egyptian Mystery religion and Christianity? Was Isis the forerunner of The Virgin Mary? Warwick will explore the many links and examine some of the records as seen in ancient Egyptian temples and papyrus manuscripts. We visited the Whangarei Branch for a shared lunch at noon followed by dvd’s and discussions to do with UFO’s. On June 7th we had a repeat of James's presentation on the Keshe Foundation with further discussion.
Local GP Dr Cornelius van Dorp presented his research on the Keshe Foundation.
Mehran Keshe is an Iranian Nucleur Physicist who has discovered the secrets of Plasma Physics and transmutation of elements. With the Keshe Foundation, he has applied this knowledge in many different ways. With the Medical application he is able to treat any disease, and initial results have been obtained with MS, ALS, Cancer. A plasma reactor has been developed which can produce unlimited energy, and also function as an antigravity device for vertical lift and propulsion. This technology has already been developed by the Iranian Government into a flying saucer that is able to pluck American spy drones out of the sky intact, and, it is said, has done so on two occasions already. Dr van Dorp will tell the story of all these developments and explain how the technology works. This ‘new energy’ sounds very progressive. Research into the workings of the Keshe Foundation reveals it includes an ability to safeguard Humanity from any misuse of the technology. Dr Van Dorp has an ability to explain the subject in a way the non scientific amongst us can understand On February the 2nd we were pleased to host an international teacher, writer and public speaker Sidtsara, from the UK. She introduced her new thought provoking book 'Evidence of God? or just Mundane Miracles?'.
Sharing her often bizzare personal experiences of thought manifestation with lightness and humour Sidtsara invited us to open ourselves to a world where everything is possible, once we live beyond the limitations of the mind. How would it be if you knew that whatever you wished for could be yours. What would you manifest? Where or how does it happen? Is it a gift? 'The most down to earth angel I've ever met' - Rev Alison Livesly 'Witty, interesting and inspirational stories' - Network News Hello Members and Friends,
Greetings to you all and best wishes for this new year which we hope you will find fortuitous in every way you would like it to be. Far North Theosophy had it's first AGM as a fully Chartered Branch of the Society in December where a new committee was elected. Committee elected for 2014: President: Maureen Paterson Vice President: James Cannon Secretary: Fiona Brodie Treasurer: Amanda Garner Committee: Sid Rosenthall Tom Deveney Jan Simpson Deveney Thanks are again extended to the excellent work put in by the formation committee of last year which resulted in amazing growth and a growing interest in what we are about which we expect to continue. We have, indeed, been a very fortunate branch of TSNZ in 2013. Activities this year will continue in much the same way but with an emphasis on consolidation so as to assure firm, lasting foundations. Our building is now well and truly functional and work has started in the gardens out back and the walking track through the bush area. End result will be an amazing fire pit around which those interested can eat and socialise after some of our meetings. The hall set aside exclusively for theosophical programmes has been utilised to suit members individual interests alongside our monthly public meetings. Sometimes these activities happen spontaneously so it pays to keep in touch for opportunities that might appeal to you. We expect to build on more of members special interests this year now our building is re-wired to suit modern needs for showing dvd's etc. The spare hall is more and more being used for a variety of suitable purposes. There's always something happening at the Theosophy Centre, the TOS Charity stall is open through the holiday time, members popping in to borrow or return library books on their way to or from somewhere, or just for a cuppa and chat. Our Theosophy Centre has become quite a focal point in the community, generating even more interest in Theosophy and our Society. Our first meeting of the month is a lighthearted and humorous presentation by Sidtsara, (Stevie), sister of Sid. Sidtsara is visiting from the UK. Date: Saturday 1st February Time: 1.00pm. Title 'Evidence of God?' or just Mundane Miracles? International Teacher, Writer and Public Speaker. Far North Theosophy 405 0707 (Hall phone – no answermachine) 405 1653 (answermachine) 021 045 9991 We hope to see many of you Feb 1st at 1.00pm at Theosophy Centre, Waikare Avenue Far North Branch ended it's year with another worthwhile presentation titled "Soul, Role and the Gap In-between". Sandy Ravelli eloquently shared aspects of 'life' that can seem to be bothersome to growth and development - to real 'life's purpose' - but which can be understood and overcome if felt necessary in order to gain meaningful life and permanent growth. This quote sums up the essence of her presentation "... No one who has ideals and imagination can be happy and content merely in the personality. The personality gets hurt, suffers, is frustrated, angry, etc. It has aspirations of some kind or other and is by no means content with whatever comes to pass. Therefore, happiness and contentment come from something in us which is not affected by the personality. We can call this “something” Manas in the body - not higher or lower Manas, but that consciousness or awareness in us which is able to analyse and commune with itself from its already known premises, and therefore to understand what is happening around and within its vehicles of emotion, desire, etc., without being coloured or absorbed by them." * * From the article "Self-Contentment in Theosophy", published on www.TheosophyOnline.com Further, this article from the Theosophy Watch - 'Disappearance of the third eye' - is an interesting follow on from that concept which you may enjoy.
